Title
L3466 - Northern end of the Bulwell Viaduct
Description
L3466 - A latticed girder section at the northern end of the Bulwell viaduct spans Hucknall Lane. The structure, seen here in the later stages of construction with scaffolding and contractor's locomotive in position, continued across the Leen Valley on a series of 26 brick arches. At around 400 yards long it was the longest bridge on the London Extension, and took 6.5 million bricks and a year to build. Here a procession of people walk underneath the bridge's span.
