Title
L3458 - Steam navvy and men at work
Description
L3458 - This rare photograph of a Ruston excavator without a cabin enables us to see its boiler, engine and control gear. Set in a deep cutting, believed to be in Nottingham, a group of men stand in the machine's path, loading excavated earth into tipping wagons to the left, and levelling the cutting walls.
