Description
John Wycliffe (c1328-1384) was a priest, theologist, philosopher and professor at the University of Leicester. An influential figure in the history of Christianity in England, his followers became known as Lollards, which had a strong influence in Leicestershire. He died in Lutterworth, where this chair was kept.
