Description
L1597 - Nearing completion, the Great Central's goods depot at Braunstone Gate, Leicester, circa 1897. When in use, this building would have provided temporary storage for a huge variety of freight, including coal, fish and grain. Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton was the contractor who built this section of the Line (Contract No.2, Leake to Aylestone).
