Title
L3388 - Girder underbridge carrying the Great Central and Great Western Joint Railway through the Buckinghamshire countryside
Description
L3388 - This underbridge has plate girder parapets and wide, straight wing walls. It carries the Great Central and Great Western Joint Railway through Buckinghamshire, and was worked on by contractor Louis P. Nott. The embankment appears freshly cut, as grass has yet to grow on it. A man stands to the right hand side of the bridge, surveying the road below. Whilst the smartness of his attire indicates he is not a navvy, he may well be connected to construction of the railway in another capacity - possibly a contractor'.
