Title
L1455 - Aqueduct over the Line at Swithland, Leicestershire
Description
L1455 - Aqueduct (Bridge 347) crossing the London Extension at Swithland, Leicestershire, circa 1897. Both main running lines have been laid and the ballast has been packed over the sleepers, suggesting this part of the Railway is almost ready for traffic. Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton was the contractor responsible for building this section of the Line (Contract No. 2, Leake to Aylestone).
