Title
L1484 - Girder underbridge, Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire
Description
L1484 - Girder underbridge (Bridge 340) near Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire, circa 1897. This was the 'second occupation [bridge] north of Woodhouse' (S. W. A. Newton's notes). The lattice work iron parapet is a typical feature of the London Extension. Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton was the contractor who built this section of the Railway (Contract No. 2, Leake to Aylestone).
