Title
L1489 - Girder bridge north of Loughborough, Leicestershire
Description
L1489 - Although it was built by the Great Central's contractors, this bridge (no. 323) neither carried, nor crossed the London Extension. It is the more northerly of two bridges built to span the watercourse that ran parallel with the Last Main Line embankment at Loughborough. The tower of Stanford on Soar church is just visible through the hand rails to the left of the right pier.
