L1492 - Looking west at the girder bridge crossing the canal at Loughborough, Leicestershire, circa 1897. The bridge's lattice work iron parapet is a typical feature of the London Extension. Henry Lovatt of Wolverhampton was the contractor responsible for building this section of the Railway (Contract No. 2 Leake to Aylestone).
