Title
L3156 - High Wycombe goods yard and viaduct
Description
L3156 - A charming view, looking south along the sweeping curve of the Great Western & Great Central Joint Railway from High Wycombe goods yard. Visible beyond are the four arches of the viaduct that was widened - along with the rest of the Joint route - to accommodate an extra line of track. Thought to have been photographed around 1905, the yard looks remarkably fresh, if a little bare. No such facilities existed on this site when the route was the sole concern of the Great Western Railway. On the right of the picture is the tower of All Saint's Church.
