Title
L3290 - Plate girder overbridge on the Great Western & Great Central Joint Railway.
Description
L3290 - This plate girder bridge was photographed at an uncertain location in Buckinghamshire on the Great Western & Great Central Joint line. Construction of the bridge appears to be complete, but beneath it, only the rough contractors' railway has been laid so far. By the bridge's left abutment are a stack of ceramic drain pipes, while on the right, a gang of navvies dig a trench and lay more of the drain pipes. In the distance, one of the small but powerful contractors' locomotives can be seen at work.
