Title
L3334 - Wooden footbridge across railway in Thorpe Mandeville, Northamptonshire.
Description
L3334 - This wooden footbridge spans a section of the Great Central Railway's Banbury branch, as it passed through the village of Thorpe Mandeville in Northamptonshire. The Banbury branch provided the Great Central with a link to the Great Western Railway, and was of importance for both the transfer of freight and long distance, cross-country passenger trains. In this image, the track is still under construction and lies in a deep cutting typical of this section of the railway. A signal box can be seen on the right hand side embankment beyond the footbridge.
